Tuning Tuesday – R.I.P to Musical Artists

A handful of music's most popular Twitter users have given up their digital lives to help raise money to give a life to Africian and Indian HIV/AIDS sufferers as part of Alicia Key’s charity, Keep a Child Alive. The entertainers have signed off of social media outlets like Twitter, Facebook and blogs to raise US 1 million dollars and will not return until enough money is raised.

For the campaign musical talent and celebrities like Lady GaGa, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, P.Diddy, Serena Williams, Janelle Monae, Elijah Wood, Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys’ husband, Swizz Beatz have recorded their “last tweet and testament”. These videos and pictures will appear in ads showing them lying in coffins to represent what the campaign is about - their digital deaths.

The pictures are very creative and defiantly have some unique touches.

This must be hard for everyone because celebs are used to Tweeting everything they are doing, and we are used to reading those updates. But this campaign is bigger than that, we can all help by donating anything we have, big or small to save a life that has been affected by HIV/AIDS. It’s been a week and fans haven’t donated nearly enough to save their fans life and a suffering life for Keep a Child Alive. It’s sad because people have the time to search Kim Kardashian, (http://kimkardashian.celebuzz.com/2010/11/29/kim-kardasian-bing-top-search-term-number-one/) but when she’s gone and trying to raise money for a good cause not enough people are helping!

Can they really rest in peace when people aren’t donating?

This is what you can do; help buy the stars back by donating to KCA through the Buy Life site, with a StickyBits app that scans Buy Life barcodes, or by texting BUYLIFE to 90999. I’ve donated to buy more life for Alicia Keys so I can help save a little child in Africa or India...whose life will you buy back??
